Since 2016, Magma Aviation have been working with the Serge Betsen Academy once a year transporting donated items to Africa. Most recently Magma Aviation had the pleasure of operating a CC322 flight from Liege (LGG) to Douala (DLA) on behalf of the Serge Betsen Academy . The cargo consisted of rugby equipment, shoes, clothing and books which had been donated to the organisation. Our team of experts know exactly what is required and worked with the Serge Betsen Academy to organise onward transportation via truck to the academy’s base in Yaoundé (NSI).
The academy was founded by former rugby player Serge Betsen, who on return to his home country of Cameroon discovered there was a big interest in playing rugby there and wanted to provide access to the game for underprivileged children. The organisation offers children the opportunity to learn to play the game and provides the equipment needed. The children are also given tutoring, supporting their education ensuring that these children can reach their potential. Operating in both the Cameroon and Mali the academy also provides basic healthcare to the children. It aims to teach children the values and standards that will help in all aspects of their lives.
At Magma Aviation we always enjoy working with our clients but when you know you are part of such a worthwhile initiative it makes it extra special.
